Strava User Guide
A new way to ride together! This year, the Tour du Courage PROCURE is introducing a brand-new way to bring participants together: a dedicated Strava Club.
Strava is a free, simple, and user-friendly app that allows you to record your activities, track your mileage, monitor your progress, and stay connected with fellow cyclists. By joining The Tour of Courage PROCURE Strava Club, you become part of a shared movement of solidarity, whether you ride solo or with friends
Create a Strava account
- Download the app on iPhone or Android
- Open the app
- Tap “Sign Up”
- Choose a sign-up method: With your email address or via Google / Facebook / Apple
- Enter the required information: Name, Email address, Password
- Confirm your registration
Join the Tour du Courage PROCURE Club
This is an essential step to be part of the community!
- Click this link: https://www.strava.com/clubs/tdc-procure or search for “Tour du Courage PROCURE” under Clubs
- Click “Join Club”
- Once you’re in, you’ll be able to see:
- Activities from other participants
- Leaderboards
- Club posts and updates
Interact with the club and share your rides
Once you become a member of The Tour of Courage PROCURE Strava club, your activities will be automatically associated with the club when you record them.
- Make sure your activity is set to “Everyone” (public) so it is visible to other participants.
Within the club, you can easily interact:
- Post to the club feed by sharing messages or photos
- Give “kudos” (equivalent to a “like”) to encourage an activity
- Leave a comment to congratulate or support a participant
- View rankings (distance, frequency, etc.) and see other participants' rides to stay motivated or find inspiration
Joining the club means riding together, even remotely! By sharing your rides and encouraging others, you contribute to building a strong, engaged, and supportive community.
Record an activity
Option A: Using your phone
- Open the Strava app
- Tap the “Record” button (bottom of the screen)
- Select your activity (e.g., Bike ride)
- Tap “Start”
- Go for your ride
- When finished, tap “Finish”
- Add a title and photo
- Tap “Save”
Option B: Using a smartwatch or GPS device (Garmin, Apple Watch, etc.)
- Make sure your device is connected to Strava (via app settings)
- Start your activity on your device
- When finished, sync your device
- Your activity will automatically appear in Strava.
Option C: Add an activity manually
- Open Strava
- Tap the “+” button (top or bottom of the screen)
- Select “Manual Activity”
- Enter the details:
- Activity type (ride, walk, etc.)
- Date
- Duration
- Distance
- Add a title (e.g., Tour du Courage Training)
- Tap “Save”
Tips to get the most out of Strava
- Give your activities clear, personalized titles
- Add photos to share your experience
- Encourage others by giving "kudos" or thumbs-up
- Check the club regularly to stay motivated
